Maria Godoy-Hernandez, 28, of Nashville is accused of using an Illinois resident’s Social Security number to gain employment at a Franklin business. The victim received notification from the IRS that taxes were owed based on earnings from the employer, police said. Godoy-Hernandez was arrested Tuesday. She is charged with identity theft and is also suspected of being in the country illegally. She is being held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
